Affiliate marketing business model is actually a pretty simple one.

You find a product or service that you want to promote, and then you drive traffic to that offer.

If people buy the product or service, you get a commission.

But why do we still struggle to make money with affiliate marketing?

After being in the game for a while now this is what I found.

There is 2 reason for this:

1. Overwhelm
2. Imposter Syndrome

Overwhelm is probably the most common enemy when it comes to affiliate marketing.

You see when we discover something we want to dig deeper and try to find out everything about it.

But this is actually the worst thing you can do!

Why?

Because you will never get started if you keep on learning and never take any action.

That’s exactly what happen to me before I made my first affiliate sale.

I was so caught up in trying to learn everything that I never took any actions or made any money.

And this is actually a pretty common story.

The second reason is imposter syndrome.

This one is a bit more personal because it’s something I still have to deal with up to this day.

Basically, imposter syndrome is the feeling of not being good enough or not knowing enough to do something.

I used to think that I wasn’t cut out for this affiliate marketing thing because everybody else seems to know more than me.

And I was always comparing myself to others instead of focusing on my own journey.

As a result, I didn’t take any action and just kept learning without taking any actions.

But after a while, I realized that this was the wrong mindset to have and it was holding me back from making any progress.

“Imperfect Action Is Better Than Perfect Inaction”.
